Paying It Forward With Aloysius Christopher Hickey

Aloysius Christopher Hickey, servicing an established leader in superior healthcare services, spends a portion of his free time paying it forward: whether volunteering at a Church event, contributing warm clothing to company coat drives, or bringing his community together over a game of BINGO.

Aloysius Christopher Hickey belongs to the Parish of Saint Johns the Evangelist and Our Lady Of Mt Carmel parish in White Plain. He and his wife have been involved in fundraising, and volunteering for many events hosted and organized within the Parish. He serves on the Parish Council and is active with the Knights of Columbus, where he volunteers as well.

During the event, he collected gifts from various donors to auction as gift baskets. Items ranged from appliances to wine, with restaurants and bars donated to the cause. Funds raised will help families and the elderly in need of love during this Thanksgiving season. His customers at the Healthcare client hosted a coat drive and gathered donations of used clothing, coats, and jackets to contribute. Additional clothing collected will be distributed amongst newly arriving immigrants who need assistance, and to a Housekeeping Services Associate to share within his community as well.

Aloysius says, “On Monday nights,  I volunteer for a few hours at Bingo to fundraise from within the community. Recently I was given composition and drawing books I was able to offer to my co-workers with small children at home. In December, the Knights of Columbus is hosting a pancake breakfast at Our Lady Of Mt Carmel Church from 7 am to 11.00 am, and I’ll be serving breakfast.

In July, we celebrate an Italian Festa, Feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, in which my wife and I volunteer our services to run a food booth serving snacks and drinks to the community throughout the four days of celebration.” He further states how “we look forward to being of service, being involved in wonderful family events, making a difference in the lives of those we live around, our families, and in our community. I am very thankful and grateful for all the gifts the good lord has bestowed upon us and for the very many blessings of this wonderful gift of life and this world of ours where we all can make a difference.”

Aloysius, we genuinely revel in your feel-good stories and hope your holidays are filled with happiness.
